Caitlyn Nolan finished her four years with the Hokies as one of the better shortstops in program history, becoming the single-season record holder home runs (19) in a season and finishing second for the most RBIs (55) in a season. After opening weekend of her senior season in 2019, Nolan became the first-ever Hokie to earn NFCA National Player of the Week, following her stat line of a .714 batting average, nine RBIs, two home runs, three doubles and three walks back in her home state. She was a key cog in Tech's run to a regular-season ACC title and an NCAA regional behind a school-record 20 ACC wins and the fourth-most regular-season wins (47) in program history in 2019.
